Hat and eye Health

Myth: Wearing only a hat will protect your eyes from the sun.

Fact: Although hats do provide some protection from the sun, hats shouldn’t be the only thing you rely on to protect your eyes from the sun.

Sunrays are also reflected from water and sand upwards to your face. Hats are great at protecting your face and neck from the sun. Don’t forget to wear sunglasses too. Harmful rays from the sun can cause premature ageing, early development of cataracts as well as pterygiums and even macular degeneration.
