Envision Cares: LASIK

Delivering a quality, affordable LASIK service to improve quality of life for patients with refractive errors. Choosing sight without glasses is a life-changing event.

The reduced cost of our Envision Cares project is made possible by our specialist fellowship program. The project is driven by ophthalmologists seeking further refractive surgery training and experience. Although you will be part of a training and research program you will be treated by specialist ophthalmologists with the support of our refractive surgeon.

Your doctor says: “Fantastic! You have 20/20 vision with glasses.” You should be ecstatic, but you are not. Research shows that even when corrected by glasses and contact lenses, refractive errors may reduce your quality of life.

People often do not understand the small issues that come with wearing glasses…  Seeing while walking in the rain, driving at night, putting on makeup, swimming, running, lying on the couch while watching TV.

A recent article published in The Lancet determined that the leading global cause of moderate to severe vision impairment is under corrected refractive error and cataracts. The number of years of life refractive error affects is more than other eye diseases such as cataracts, which usually only starts at an older age. At Envision we do not see refractive surgery as a luxury. Being able to see is vital. We want to make basic refractive surgery a possibility for more people.
